Franklin County’s defense had no answer for North Pike quarterback Alijah Martin, who threw four touchdown passes in the Jaguars’ 25-0 win over the Bulldogs Friday night.

Two of those touchdown passes went to Dylan Adams, who caught nine balls for 168 yards. The two hooked up on a 35-yard touchdown to get things going for North Pike (3-0) in the first quarter.

Martin then threw three touchdown passes in the second quarter — 46 yards to Taylor Boyd, 41 yards to Peter Kettle and 24 yards to Adams. Martin finished the night with 13 completions on 19 attempts for 239 yards with one interception.

Franklin County, on the other hand, couldn’t get anything going offensively. The Bulldogs were held to just 97 yards of total offense —  all on the ground. X’avier Green had five carries for 34 yards.

Franklin County (0-3) plays at Lumberton, one of the top teams in Class 1A, at 7 p.m. next Friday.
