WCCA can’t keep pace with Prairie View

Wilkinson County Christian Academy had no answer for Prairie View Academy’s Tanner Caldwell, who accounted for four touchdowns and two 2-point conversions, as the Spartans defeated the Rams 44-0 Friday night.

Caldwell caught a 16-yard touchdown pass from Hays Crockett to go with scoring runs of 1, 12 and 8 yards. But the biggest run of the game belonged to Layton Woodard, who scored on a 70-yard run with 4:22 to go in the second quarter.

While Prairie View’s offense was racking up the yards and the points, its defense was just as good. The Spartans held the Rams to just 22 yards of total offense and two first downs and forced three turnovers.
