NATCHEZ — Natchez Police Department Capt. Tom McGehee says the Mississippi River Bridge has been cleared and will resume as normal.

McGehee earlier urged residents to remain away from the bridge as an automobile accident was being attended to on the westbound lane.

The accident reportedly happened at approximately 3:10 p.m. Monday.
