FERRIDAY – Services for Carmen Rose Turner, 58, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Old St. Reed Baptist Church in Levee Heights, Ferriday, with the Rev. Daitronne Kennedy officiating.

Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Turner was born Oct. 14, 1958, in New Orleans, the daughter of Roosevelt and Gloria Wills Moore.

She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Westwego, La.

Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her parents and stepdaughter, Treniece Turner.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Turner; one son, Reginald Moore of Marrero, La.; one daughter, Jaleesa Moore of Ferriday; two stepsons, Jackie Moore and Trisco Cooks of New Orleans; one stepdaughter, Elizabeth Chairs and husband, Derrick, of New Orleans; two brothers, Tyrone Moore of Ferriday and Dion Moore of Newport News, Va.; five sisters, Terese Moore, Jean Richardson, Sabrina Johnson and husband, Jonas, all of Marrero, Mabonna Rivere and husband, Alfredo, and Angela Haynes, all of New London, Conn.; four grandchildren, Lawrence Cennett of Ferriday, Jaquan Wilson, Carlos Wilson and Ti’Anndrea, all of New Orleans; two great-grandchildren, Tamum Reese and Sire Chairs of New Orleans.
