Trinity Episcopal cancels football game

Trinity Episcopal’s football game scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph-Greenville has been canceled.
Trinity headmaster Christina Daugherty said the cancelation was decided from the school’s number of injuries.
“I initiated the request to their headmaster based on the fact that we have several injured players,” she said. “I asked if they would consider canceling, and they accepted. They were nice enough to agree.”
Daugherty said Trinity — which has experienced low numbers this season — sustained numerous injuries last Friday, including three sprained ankles and a shoulder injury.
“We have so few players. I did not want to risk their health since our kids play both ways,” she said. “This is to give them a chance to heal and prepare for the rest of the season.”
Daugherty said Trinity plans to be back in action next week when it hosts Adams County Christian School on Sept. 21.
