NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Dennis A. Werner, 68, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Natchez City Cemetery with the Rev. Bo Swilley officiating.

Burial will follow at the cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. Werner was born July 24, 1949 in Concord, Calif., the son of Calvin Werner and Verna Anna Krumsick Werner.

He was a Master Gunnery Sergeant, where he served 26 and a half years in the U. S. Marine Corps, serving 3 tours in Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother in-law, Robert McNeely.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia McNeely Werner of Natchez; one daughter, Clarrissa Anesia Danick and husband, Barry, of Hopkinsville, Ky.; one son, Dennis Werner and wife, Leslie, of Sayre, Okla.; four grandchildren, Bonnie Kidd, Taylor Danick, Andrew Werner and Scott Schaefer; three great grandchildren, Hailey, Bailey and Aubree; two sisters in-law, Janet McNeely of Natchez and Frances Harvey of Denton, Texas; one brother in-law, Mark McNeely of Charlotte, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
