Ground game leads Sicily Island past LaSalle, 52-22

Tyreke Tolliver had 238 total yards of offense and accounted for five touchdowns as the Sicily Island High School Tigers routed the LaSalle High School Tigers 52-22 Friday night for their second straight win.
Tolliver ran for 182 yards and two touchdowns to go with 56 yards passing and three touchdowns. Landrae James had 191 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Landrell James had one rushing touchdown and one receiving score. Darren Richards had one rushing touchdown.
The Tigers jumped out to a 26-0 halftime lead and then led LaSalle 32-0 early in the third quarter before the Tigers finally got on the board later on in the quarter. Sicily Island led by as many as 38 points early in the fourth quarter.
Darrick Kerry led the Tigers’ defense with 11 tackles while Zavier Rameriez and David Wallace added nine tackles each.
Sicily Island (2-1) starts the District 2-1A portion of its schedule next Friday when its hosts Ouachita Christian School with kickoff at 7 p.m.
