Jack Jackson scored touchdowns on special teams and offense while Ben Lejeune scored touchdowns on defense and offense as the Silliman Institute rolled to a 47-6 win over the Wilkinson County Christian Academy Rams Friday night.
Jackson scored on a 76-yard kickoff return to start the game – the second straight game WCCA has allowed an opponent to score on the opening kickoff – and on a 23-yard run to give Silliman (2-4) a 13-0 lead.
Lejeune returned an interception 63 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter and added a 42-yard touchdown run in the third quarter as the Wildcats took a 47-0 lead. The Rams finally got on the scoreboard as D’mario Weathersby connected with R.J. Fisher on a four-yard TD pass.
Silliman got all of its offense on the ground with 234 yards and its defense limited the Rams to 79 yards of total offense and picking off Weathersby three times.
WCCA (0-6) is off next week before playing at Union Christian Academy on Friday, Oct. 6 in its MAIS District 3-A opener.
