Shirley-Tiegs

Mrs. Margaret H. Shirley announces the engagement of her daughter, Julie Anne Shirley to Miles Clayton Tiegs of Gainesville, Ga., son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Tiegs of Foley, Minn.
The bride-to-be is also the daughter of the late Michael L. Shirley of Natchez, formerly of Nashville, Tenn.
She is an honor graduate of East Tennessee State University (ETSU) in Johnson City, Tenn., where she earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She was previously employed by Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, as a cardiac ICU nurse, and is now a registered nurse in Gainesville, Ga. Julie is currently attending Brenau University pursuing a master’s degree to be a family nurse practitioner.
She is the granddaughter of the late Stewart and Myrtle Allred Holland of Natchez, the late Robbie Rogers Shirley of Vidalia and the late L. Dixon Shirley of Natchez.
The groom-to-be is the grandson of Frances Tiegs and the late Robert Tiegs of Henderson, Minn., Phyllis Kroehler and the late George and Rosalyn Kroehler of Arlington, Minn.
Miles attended St. Cloud Technical and Community College and has worked with autistic children in the Gainesville school system. He is currently enrolled in the College of Coastal Georgia. Both have served in past years on the mission field overseas in a number of countries.
The wedding will be Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, in Georgia.
Formal invitations will be sent.
After a honeymoon trip, the couple will live in Georgia where they will be working and both pursuing further education.
