NATCHEZ —Services for Stella Ferrington Smith, 91, of Natchez, who died Oct. 2, 2017, in Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Community Chapel Church of God with the Rev. Bo Swilley officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.                

Mrs. Smith was born Feb. 5, 1926, in Wisner, La., the daughter of Jack Ferrington and Vellie Lee Ferrington.

She was a member of Community Chapel Church of God. Mrs. Smith lived a long fulfilling life and she cherished her family. She will be greatly missed by many, but her family finds comfort knowing she is with her Lord and Savior.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John W. Smith; one brother, Oree Ferrington; and one sister, Lola Ferrington Cowan.

Survivors include two daughters, Vicky Wilson and Debbie Aldridge, both of Natchez; five grandchildren, Brian Wilson of Little Rock, Ark., Bruce Wilson and wife, Charise, of Brandon, Heather Brewer and husband, Dan, of Caledonia, Holly McDonald and husband, Josh, and Jessica Aldridge, all of Natchez; 10 great-grandchildren, Reed, Ally and Hayes Brewer, Abigail Wilson, Ava, Maddox and Lilly Brooke McDonald, Stella Wilson, Pyper and Nova Aldridge.

Pallbearers will be Brian Wilson, Bruce Wilson, Josh McDonald, Dan Brewer, Leonard Logan and Brent McCarthy.

Honorary pallbearers will be Reed Brewer, Bubba Aldridge, Maddox McDonald and Hayes Brewer.
