Mayor: Animals cause Vidalia power outage

VIDALIA — The entire town of Vidalia was without power for approximately 36 minutes Monday due to animals.
Vidalia Mayor Buz Craft shared on social media that the town had a couple of animals at its substation that triggered the outage.
The power went out at approximately 11 p.m. and Police Chief Joey Merrill said power was back up by 11:36 p.m.
Craft added on social media that the town’s crews are “the absolute best.”
