JONESVILLE — Services for Philisty “Granny” Netherland, 102, of Jonesville, who died Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, at her residence, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Good Road Pentecostal Church in Jonesville with the Rev. Tim Joiner, the Rev. Chad Franklin and the Rev. Bryan Taylor officiating.

Burial will follow at Heard Cemetery, in Manifest, La., under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home in Alexandria, La.                                                                                               

Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until service time Thursday, both at the church.

Mrs. Netherland was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Brown and Rowena Brown; her husband, Guy Netherland; one son, Sylvester Netherland; one daughter, Gracie Stump; one son-in-law, Peter Stump; three grandsons, Burt Netherland, Ronnie Netherland and Zach Sutton; and 10 siblings, Derris Brown, Roy Brown, Monroe Brown, Elmo Brown, O.J. Brown, Elburn Brown, Quincy Brown, Troy Brown, Hattie Smith and Violet Tolbert.

Survivors include five children, Buddy Netherland and wife, LeAnne, Tip Netherland and wife, Charlene, Ben Netherland and wife, Melinda, Clayton Netherland and wife, Phyllis, and Millie Murry and husband, Acie; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Richie Netherland, Joey Stump, Triston Murry, Curtis Cockerham, Brett Cockerham, Sawyer Netherland, Tyler Netherland and Tracy Stump.

Honorary pallbearers will be Coby Cockerham, Guy Tuccio, Gene Tuccio, Dewight Netherland, Todd Netherland, Will Richey, Randall Netherland, Cade Bradford, Tuffy Book, Chris Reagan and Casey Reagan.
