BOGUE CHITTO — Services for James Glenn “Butch” Crosby, 73, of Bogue Chitto, who died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto.

Arrangements are under the direction of Harrigill Funeral Home in Brookhaven.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Crosby was born Feb. 3, 1944, the son of Henry and Maude Crosby.

After graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Army. He then moved to Natchez where he was employed by Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company for 17 years. He then pursued a career in truck driving from which he retired.

He also enjoyed hunting and loved the outdoors. He was a member of the Bogue Chitto Masonic Lodge and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto.

Mr. Crosby was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Henry “Sonny” Crosby, Lamar Crosby, John W. Crosby and Gerald “Jerry” Crosby; and four sisters, Audrey Mae Wright, Addie Fay Dixon, Imogene Falvey and his twin sister, Lynn Reeves.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Bobbie Kimble Crosby; one son, Robert Crosby and wife, Andrea, of Walker, La.; three daughters, Sherry Crosby Wells and husband, Keith, Melinda Crosby Weeks and husband, Danny, and Angela Crosby and partner, Larry Gamberi, all of Natchez; three grandchildren, Chris Wells and wife, Heather, of Odessa, Texas, Alicia Wells of Natchez, and Austin Weeks and wife, Samantha; seven great-grandchildren, Callen Cole Weeks of Roxie, Sofia, Sterling, Scarlett, Sylas, Steven and Stella Layne Wells of Odessa; one sister, Edwina Allen and husband, Melvin, of Bogue Chitto; and a number of nieces, nephews and special friend, Bobby Richardson.

Pallbearers will be Scott Reeves, Chris Wells, Timmy Dixon, Chris Wright, Greg Allen, Randall Allen, Matthew Elkins and Ricky Crosby.

Honorary pallbearers will be Melvin Reeves, Melvin Allen, Denver Kimble, Calvin Kimble, Houston Kimble and Danny Porter.
