MEADVILLE — Services for Janis T. Bilbo, 86, who died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, at Meadville Convalescent Home with her loving family by her side, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Siloam Baptist Church in Meadville with the Rev. Leon Wallace officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bilbo was born July 16, 1931, in Franklin County, the daughter of Vardaman Temple and Dorothy Short Temple.
She was a faithful member of Siloam Baptist Church for a number of years. She was dedicated to her work in the church and many other points of ministry in Franklin County. She was dedicated to the love and care of a number of elderly people throughout the community and nursing homes. She was a loving wife and mother.
Mrs. Bilbo was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Dewitt Bilbo; one son, Lynn Bilbo and wife, Sandra, of Vicksburg; two grandchildren, Nicole McGarrity and husband, Billy, of Madison, and Michael Bilbo; two great-grandchildren, Emma McGarrity and Callie McGarrity; one sister, JoAnn Hill and husband, Joe, of Madison; and one brother, Riley Temple and wife, Wilda, of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be deacons of Siloam Baptist Church.
The family requests memorial donations be sent in her name to Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery Fund at Siloam Baptist Church, 8031 Mississippi 98 East, Meadville, MS 39653.
