CENTREVILLE — Services for Gerald Wayne Cavin, 65, of Centreville, who died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Newman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Pender officiating.
Burial will follow at Hopewell Methodist Church Cemetery in Crosby under the direction of Newman Funeral Home in Centreville.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Cavin was born Feb. 1, 1952, in Centreville, the son of Joseph Chester Cavin and Marion Virginia Floyd Cavin.
He was a retired grocery manager, an avid Ole Miss fan and golfer.
Mr. Cavin was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Rodney Cavin Sr., and Thomas Felter; and one sister, Katherine Patterson.
Survivors include one sister, Gayle Watkins of Columbus and two brothers, Joe Cavin of Centreville and Michael Cavin of Ecru.
Pallbearers will be John Jelks, John Newman, Joe McKey, Joe McDaniel, Thomas Felter Jr. and Chris Sturdivant.
Honorary pallbearers will be Victor McKey, L.W. McCurley, Marion McCurley and Thomas McCurley.
