FERRIDAY – Services for Gwen Huff Webber, 80, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her family, will be 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Ferriday with the Rev. Larry Fields and Dr. Ralph Webber officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Webber was born Jan. 21, 1937, in Waterproof, the daughter of Curtis Phillip Huff and Vera Keyes Huff.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Ferriday. Gwen taught elementary school for a number of years at Ferriday Elementary and Huntington. She was retired from Concordia Parish Clerk of Court Office.
Mrs. Webber was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James “Bud” Curtis Huff.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Clyde Ray Webber; two sons, Clyde R. “Trey” Webber III and wife, Torri, and Curtis Phillip Webber and wife, Heather, all of Vidalia; one daughter, Sue Ann McKenna and husband, Patrick, of Ferriday; one sister, Patsy Huff Newman and husband, Marion, of Ferriday; 10 grandchildren, Evan Webber, Brett Brown, Cooper Brown, Kyle Craft, Sarah McKenna, Sophie Webber, Sarah Katherine Webber, Emily Russell, Zack Brown and Jacob Brown; one great-granddaughter, Ella Hux; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Horton, Dee Horton, Michael Burley, Craig Jackson, Jake Webber, Cody Huff, Mark Carney and Chad Kenney.
Honorary pallbearer will be Daryl Daye.
