FERRIDAY — Graveside services for Troy Dale Sanders, 41, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. today, at Natchez Cemetery.

Burial will follow at the cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. Sanders was born Feb. 9, 1976 in Baton Rouge, the son of Michael Lane Sanders Sr. and Irma J. Norris Sanders.

He was a member of Abundant Life Church in Natchez. His main activity was his children. He was disabled from Natchez Ford Lincoln Mercury, Arthur’s Tire, Forrest Foster and Natchez Cooper Tire. He was a great mechanic and loved it. He loved his family, liked to fish, NASCAR, the “Dukes of Hazard,” and “The Young and the Restless.” He was a simple man.

He is preceded in death by his beloved stepfather, Billy “Hugh” Buckles.

Survivors include three children, Blake Arin Sanders and wife, Tabitha, Caleb Turnage Sanders, and Brock Allen Sterling; mother, Irma J. Buckles; two brothers, Jamie Sanders and wife, Amy, and Michael L. Sanders and wife, Nancy; neices, Danerika L. Williams, Crystalynn Holoman, Dashia R. White, Valorie L. Newman, Kelli L. Newman, Jonna M. Newman; one grandchild, Asher Hayes Stewart; and the mother of his children, Chrissy Wood Sanders Stewart.

Pallbearers will be Timothy Day, Glen Ashley, Taylor Mitchell, Eric Turnage, Al Watson, Robert Day and Joey Reid.

Honorary pallbearers will be Paris White, Danny Ray Knapp, Clint Augustine and Jeremiah Ewing.
