Junior Auxiliary Holiday Bazaar is Saturday

Junior Auxiliary is having their Annual Holiday Bazaar from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday.

The market will be at the JA Canteen located in Duncan Park. This is the fourth year for Junior Auxiliary to host such an event. The JA ladies began the market as a way to feature local artists and craftsmen as well as to offer an option to the community to shop local.

We have vendors from the Miss-Lou area as well as other locations throughout Mississippi. Each year we tend to grow a little more and hope to one day be big enough to move from our Canteen to the Convention Center. One of the great features about our market is that we limit our vendors to be exclusive.

If a vendor wishes to have a booth that is a direct marketing person such as Premier Jewelry, Mary Kay, or such lines we will only allow one vendor per line. We limit the amount of direct marketing vendors so there is not a repeat of merchandise and customers have a wide variety of shopping under one roof. This is a great market to attend whether you are looking for a unique gift for an upcoming holiday or something for yourself.

Junior Auxiliary only charges a booth rental fee and does not collect any commissions from vendors. JA host their own booth by getting a head start on our ticket sales to the Breakfast with the Grinch event that will be held on Dec. 9 this year. The breakfast is a ticket only event and offers two time slots. The market is the perfect place to get your tickets early because once we sell out of the tickets, we do not add any additional. Wells Produce has been generous for a couple of years of donating a live

Six-foot Fraser fir Christmas tree to raffle off as a way for Junior Auxiliary to obtain funds that allows us to put on the Grinch Breakfast.

Of course, not everyone loves real live trees so we always suggest that if someone wins the tree and they really aren’t sure what to do with it if they were to win, we suggest them donating the tree to Junior Auxiliary and we can put the tree up at the Canteen for the holidays.

The Holiday Bazaar is a free event and we invite everyone to visit and see what all the market has to offer.
