Lincoln Prep takes down Delta Charter in first round, 46-19

Delta Charter School had no answer for Lincoln Prep’s duo of James Caesar and Johlik Madison, who combined for 315 rushing yards and five touchdowns as the No. 18 seed Panthers beat the No. 15 seed Storm 46-19 Friday night in the first round of the LHSAA Class 1A Playoffs.
Caesar had 28 carries for 165 yards and three touchdowns. Madison had 27 carries for 144 yards and two touchdowns for Lincoln Prep (5-6), which racked up 386 yards of total offense and 27 total first downs.
The lead changed hands several teams between the two teams through the first two-plus quarters, with the Storm taking a 19-18 lead 10:51 left in the third quarter. Then the Panthers took over, scoring the final 28 points of the game.
Trey Poole completed just seven of 20 passes for 85 yards with two interceptions to go with one rushing touchdown. Freddie Mango had 19 carries for 172 yards and one touchdown.
Delta Charter finished the season with a 5-6 overall record.
