NATCHEZ — Services for LaFaye Brooks Mullins, 83, of Natchez who died Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at McNeely Road Church of God with the Rev. Brian Monehan and the Rev. L. Paul Hays officiating.
Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery in Franklin County under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 a. m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Mullins was born Oct. 30, 1934, in Amite County, the daughter of James Candler Brooks and Gladys Larimore Brooks.
She was a member of McNeely Road Church of God where she served as the church secretary for 44 years. She also worked for the Tillman Medical Group for 32 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Candler Brooks and Leslie “Bo” Brooks; two sisters, Esther Paretti and Sylvia Holland; one grandson, Alan Huff; and one son-in-law, Steve Troutman.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, L.B. Mullins; one son, Michael Lynn Mullins and wife, Judy, of Ringgold, Ga.; one daughter, Dani Faye Troutman of Natchez; two granddaughters, Fayla Guedon and husband, Noble, of Natchez, and Amanda Poe and her husband and two children of Georgia; one grandson, Matt Mullins and wife, Amy, of Ringgold; three great-grandchildren, Caroline Guedon, Grayson Guedon and Madison Mullins; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Noble Guedon, Grayson Guedon, Charles Mullins, Bobby Moore, Matt Mullins, Eual Ray Parris and Bo Halford.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Rev. Julius Roberts, Lonnie Freeman, Joe Foster, Curtis Cowart, and Dr. Randy Tillman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McNeely Road Church of God.
