Starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Natchez Convention Center, the Christmas Cabaret includes musical performances of favorite holiday classics and other seasonal music.

Narrated by Natchez alderwoman Sarah Carter Smith, the program features some of the Natchez Festival of Music’s best.

“It is a fun way to get yourself in the Christmas spirit,” Smith said. “It is always a wonderful evening of fun holiday music.”

Smith said she has attended nearly every Christmas Cabaret production, which never fails to put her in hr the mood for the holiday.

Performer Maryann Kyle and John Christopher Adams will return to brighten the stage. Kyle is the professor of voice at the University of Southern Mississippi. Adams is a native of Fannin and has performed on stages around the world, including Switzerland and Israel as well as in Chicago, Seattle and Cincinnati. The duo has become a crowd favorite at the Christmas Cabaret.

Joining Kyle and Adams will be Ezekiel Andrew and Krista Mckenzie. The show will be directed by Joseph Britain, who was the director and arranger for other Natchez Festival of Music events, including “The Bristish Invasion” and “The Inspirations of Glen Ballard.”

Tickets are $35 each or $300 for a table of 10 people. The event includes a cash bar. Wine by the glass or bottle will be available.

As in previous years, the event will also feature a table decorating contest. The prize for first place in the contest will receive one ticket to the Main Stage events for the 2018 festival season.

The convention center will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday for table decorating before the event.
