NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Gary “Wayne” Jamison, 57, who died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Riverside Baptist Church in Natchez with the Rev. Spruce Derden and the Rev. Stephen Wyles officiating.

Burial of his ashes will follow next to his parents at the church cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Mississippi Mortuary in Jackson.

Mr. Jamison was born Sept. 6, 1960, in Natchez, the son of Carol Jamison and Velma McLendon Jamison.

He was a 1978 graduate of Adams County Christian School and worked at Miss Lou Electric as a motor winder for more than 20 years. He was a loving husband of 28 years, a caring father, grandpa, good friend to many and a Christian.

Mr. Jamison was a member of Morgantown Baptist Church. He also deeply cared for his family and always tried to keep in touch with them to check and see how they were doing. He greatly enjoyed traveling and cruising with his wife.

Mr. Jamison was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Torgersen Jamison; one son, Bryan Heath Jamison; one granddaughter, Bradleigh Jamison; four sisters, Judy Rand and husband, John, Nancy Carraway and husband, Larry, Patsy Parsons and husband, Cedric, and his twin, Mary Jane Nettles and husband, Paul; and a number of much loved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gideons International, Samaritans Purse or the Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
