NATCHEZ — Services for Elbert “Robud” Winding, 77, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at United Progressive Zion Church No. 2 with the Rev. Terrence Reed officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.    

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. Winding was born Feb. 3, 1940, in Adams County, the son of Eddie Winding Sr. and Lizzie Winding.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking.

Mr. Winding was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Elbert Glenn Winding; four brothers, Frank, Otis James, Eddie Winding Jr., and Oscar Tillery; and two sisters, Willie Mae Mazique and Anise Bonds.

Survivors include three daughters, Debra Smith of Natchez, Sandra Galmore of Kenner, La., and Jennie Harris of Humble, Texas; one stepdaughter, Barbara Bruce and husband, Perry, of Natchez, three sons, Demestra Winding and wife, Yolanda, Lauduffar Winding and Robert Galmore and wife, Corona, all of Natchez; two sisters, Blanch Reed Pratt of New Orleans and Julia Mae Gaines of Dayton, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
