FERRIDAY — Services for Richard Eugene Cain Sr., 73, of Ferriday, who died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, in Wisner, La., will be 1 p.m. at Young’s Funeral Home Ferriday Chapel.

Burial will follow at Monclova Cemetery in Waterproof under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Cain was born Dec. 26, 1943, in Ferriday, the son of Wilbur and Anna Belle Cain.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patsy King Cain; his parents; one grandson, Rickey Nelson; one granddaughter, Hannah Grace Nelson; two brothers, George Cain and Wilbur C. Cain; and one sister, Shelby Cain Guidry.

Survivors include one daughter, Stacey Nelson and husband, William, of Waterproof; two sons, Richard Cain Jr. and wife, Cheryl, of Ferriday and Donnie L. Cain and wife, Niki, of Clayton; three brothers, Charles Cain and wife, Jackie, of Ferriday, Malcom Cain and wife, Charolette, of Vidalia, and John Cain and wife, Brenda, of Ferriday; two sisters, Ruth Smith of Ferriday and Eula Mae Moore of Shreveport, La.; and eight grandchildren, Tabitha Nelson, Miracle Nelson, Jon Christian Nelson, Ty Cain, Donnie R. Cain, Mikey Cain, Devinne Cain and Jewel Verbeck; five great-grandchildren, Ella Grace Nelson, Joseph Ren Landry, Dakota Landry, Donnie Ray Cain and Zoey Lynn Cain; and a number of nieces and nephews

Pallbearers will be Donnie R Cain, Mikey Cain, Jewel Verbeck, Ty Cain, Jack Little, David Eames, Michael Nelson, Jon Christian and Mickey King.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Ater and Donnie Ater.
