Smith is a certified psychotherapist and mental health specialist. According to his biography, he is on a mission to “Heal the world, one soul at a time.”

He is also an author, speaker, entrepreneur, life coach and consultant and he specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, grief and trauma.

Today’s event is designed to help individuals identify areas of brokenness in their lives and provide ways and assistance to begin healing in those areas.

Smith pairs his clinical knowledge with his ministry to offer participants knowledge and insight about mental health awareness, increasing emotional health and walking in holistic spirituality. He provides information about proper soul care based on scripture. The workshop he offers teaches people how to transform and renew their minds with the Word of God combined with practical, clinical tools and techniques.

This will be a first for the church and pastors the Rev. Bishop Robert Cade and the Rev. Dr. BettyCade.

“Your soul houses your mind, will, emotions, intent, intellect and imagination,” Betty Cade said. “With that in mind, it’s our desire to see people experience healing in those areas of their lives. I have witnessed so many people battling with depression, suffering from anxiety, dealing with grief or broken in multiple areas, yet they aren’t sure where to get help. In the church, for so long, we have focused on empowering the spirit that we have neglected to take care of the soul, which is an extremely vital part of who we are.”

There is no cost for attending the event and all are invited and welcome to come as the leadership of the church hopes to see people helped.

“It is my desire to see people receive the help and healing they need and are well-deserving of,” Robert Cade said. “I also hope that through the sound teaching that will be provided through the Rev. Joshua Smith that it will heighten the awareness of mental health issues and help people know how to identify those suffering and how to provide the quality help and outlets that are necessary.”

The event will be facilitated by the Rev. Jessica Smith of Slidell, La.
