NATCHEZ — Services for Carlos Peavey, 79, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017, in Natchez, will be noon Wednesday at Marshall Funeral Home Natchez Chapel.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Peavey was born Nov. 15, 1941, in Winnsboro, La., the son of Willie B. Peavey and Marie Lambert Peavey.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Billy Ray Peavey; and one sister, Katherine Peavey Aswell.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Peavey; three daughters, Carolyn Ashley and husband, Ronnie, Mary Peavey and fiancé, Gerald Warren, and Amber Downs and husband, Justin; three sons, Carols Ray Peavey, Willie Peavey and wife, Jennifer, and Shaun Peavey and wife, Tonya; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Floyd Peavey and Johnny Peavey of Ferriday; four sisters, Evonne Smith, Ruth Smith, Dale Graham of Ferriday and Nita Causey of Oklahoma; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Shannon, Christopher, Dalton, Jacob, Brandon, Tristan and Logan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Warren, Ronnie Ashley, Justin Downs, David Meriett and James Jordan.
