NATCHEZ — Services for Shirley Louise McIntyre Banks, 73, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Birth Christian Center in Natchez.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the Natchez chapel and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Banks was born Oct. 5, 1944, in Fayette, the daughter of John McIntrye and Annie Bell Jackson McIntyre.

She enjoyed helping and spending time with friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, John Henry McIntyre; one brother-in-law, Larry Hunt Jr.; and a special aunt, Bettie Mae Jackson Middleton.

Survivors include her husband, Herbert Banks; three daughters, Thamanthy Banks Hunt and Christina Banks, both of Natchez, and Janice Banks Fletcher and husband, Tony, of Hattiesburg; five grandchildren; one brother, Donald McIntyre and wife, Minnie, of Natchez,; one sister, Betty Jo Nealy of Port Gibson; two brothers-in-law, Ezekiel Green and Percy Green of Natchez; one sister-in-law, Rose Green of Chicago; one special niece, Tonya McIntyre White of Natchez; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; special close family friend, Turisha Harris of Gloster; and special friend, Mary Johnson of Natchez.
