NEWELLTON — Graveside services for Allan J. Firmin, 67, of Lake St. John, who died Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at his residence, will be held at  1 p.m. Wednesday at Legion Memorial Cemetery, Newellton, with Clyde Ray Webber officiating under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Allan Firmin was born on Monday, Oct. 23, 1950 in Simmesport, La., the son of Wallace Estine Firmin and Joy Firmin. He retired after 30 years of service overseas with Schlumberger and Trans Ocean Oil Companies.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Deborah Sartori Firmin, of Lake St. John; two sons, Josh Boughton of Baton Rouge and A.J. Firmin and wife, Hillary, of Vidalia; one grandson, Carter B. Good of Vidalia; one granddaughter, Chloe Blair Firmin of Vidalia; one brother, Ron Firmin of Waterproof; one sister, Glenda Hendrix and husband, Buddy, of St. Joseph, La; and stepmother Jeanette Firmin of Iota, La.
