FERRIDAY — Services for Edgar Ray “Eekoo” Henderson, 58, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Jan. 1, 2018, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Jackson, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Concordia Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Henderson was born Sept. 27, 1959, in Pineville, La., the son of Ernest and Annie Lee Griggs Henderson.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1978 to 1981, earning an honorable discharge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Ray, Leonard, Don, Sandy and Bobby Henderson; four aunts; and five uncles.

Survivors include one daughter, LaMonica Henderson of Ferriday; three brothers, Harold Henderson of Ferriday, Clarence Henderson and wife, Denise, of New Orleans, and Ernest Henderson Jr. of Jeffersonville, Ind.; four sisters, Hattie Brown and husband, Beasley, Willie Knoten and husband, Jessie, all of Westwego, La., Mildred Castille and Gloria Whitley, both of Ferriday; and one grandchild, Raljha Henderson.
