NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Michael Ugene Hulsey, 40, who died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of God of Prophecy, 12 Myrtle Dr., in Natchez.

Arrangements are under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.

Survivors include one daughter, Taylor, who made him the happiest man alive; his mother, Cynthia, who will forever miss him; two sisters, Crystal and Pamela; eight nieces and nephews, Brandon, James, Faith, Sarah, Josiah, Macy, Eric and Walter; grandfather, Robert Lofton; aunt, Linda Bland; the love of his life, Heather Stroud; and best friends, Alan and Tyler Harris, Jason Parrot and Eric Strebeck.

Children are God’s gift — you never think about giving them back. My first-born child, my only son was killed in an auto accident, Dec. 20, 2017, just three houses from his childhood home on Morgantown Road. Be sure to tell your children every day that you love them and give them hugs and kisses, because you never know it could be the last.

Thanks to our loving family and friends for coming so quickly to be with us in this time of need. We love you all. Thanks for all the food, visits, phone calls and prayers. A special thank you to Walter J. Mackel and the Mackel family for their loving compassion and heart felt support and the Rev. Grady Fulton and the COGOP family.
