FERRIDAY — Services for Willie “Bill” Tarver, 86, of Vidalia, who died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, at Columns Nursing Home, will be 11 a.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home Ferriday Chapel with the Rev. Larry Wagoner officiating.

Burial will follow at Cypress Grove Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mr. Tarver was born April 27, 1931, in Concordia Parish, the son of James Russell Tarver and Mary Norman Tarver.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Tom Tarver; and one sister, Beatrice Martin.

Survivors include one sister, Hazel Rowe of Vidalia and a number of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers will be James Martin, Jacob Martin, Luke Martin, John David Rowe, Butch Cross and Shane Smith.
