NATCHEZ — Services for Florell Miller Patterson, 89, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church with a rosary at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery in Cranfield under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Patterson was born Dec. 27, 1928, in Franklin County, the daughter of Charlie Miller and Julia Miller.
She attended St. Francis Catholic High School and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and home caregiver. Her hobbies included spending time with her family, watching television, shopping, reading and walking.
Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Patterson Sr.; her parents; three sons, Steve Mitchell, John Frank Patterson Jr. and Charlie Wesley Patterson; one daughter, Shelia Fleming Hunt; one granddaughter, Monica L. Fleming; two brothers, Charles Miller and I.B. Miller; and two sisters, Leatha Miller and Addie T. Brown.
Survivors include three sons, Adrain Mitchell, Ronnie Patterson and wife, Patricia, and Cedric Patterson and wife, Angela, all of Natchez; four daughters, Wanda Mayberry of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Barbara Patterson of Natchez, Robin Kottow and husband, Joe, of Baldwin, Md., and Kim Robinson and husband, Calvin, of Gluckstadt; one sister, Carine M. Ross of Baton Rouge; 26 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
