NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Mary Eunice Reese” Granny” Holland, 76, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, at her residence, will be 1 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Whest Shirley officiating.

Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Holland was born Feb. 19, 1941, in Natchez, the daughter of Joel H. Reese and Eunice E. Jackson Reese.

She was a member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church and was a graduate of Ruston High School. Mrs. Holland attended Northwestern State University. She retired from Morehouse Parish School Food Service after a number of years of service. In recent years, she enjoyed greeting her many friends and customers at Mammy’s Cupboard. She loved to travel and loved her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William C. Holland; one brother, Dusty Riddle; and her special friend, Richard Bloom.

Survivors include two daughters, Lorna Martin and husband, Terry, and Lisa Leach, all of Natchez; one son, David Leach and fiancée, Kenny LaCaze, of Eros, La; one granddaughter, Tori Johnson and husband, TJ, and their unborn baby, Isabella Rose Johnson due in June, all of Natchez; three sisters, Betty Jo Moore and Peggy Huseman and husband, James, all of Natchez, and Linda Shirley of Vidalia; one brother, Joel Leon Reese and wife, Cherrie, of Cedar Park, Texas; and a number of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
