NATCHEZ — A memorial service for Author “Mickey” Wilson III, 66, of Natchez, formerly of Chicago, who died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at Merit Health Flowood, will be noon Saturday at Prayer Tower Church of God with the Rev. Johnny Jackson officiating.   

Arrangements are under the direction of Webb/Winfield Funeral Home.

Mr. Wilson was the son of Author Lee and Zettie Brown Wilson.

He was a 1969 graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School and Texas Southern University.

He was also a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.

Mr. Wilson was a devoted husband, stepfather, brother, cousin and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lodean Wilson; and stepfather.

Survivors include three sisters, Josie Rogers-Houston and husband, Robert, Patricia Miller and husband, Robert, all of Natchez, and Brianna Wilson of Indiana; two brothers, Chester Rogers and Willie Brown Jr. and wife, Debra, all of Natchez; a loving and devoted stepmother, Ann Wilson of Gary, Ind.; one stepdaughter, Monique Wilson and her mother, Bernadette, of Michigan; and one step-granddaughter, Kayla Jones of Chicago.
