NATCHEZ—Services for Barbara Ann Lewis, 76, of Natchez, who died on Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe W. Pickett officiating.  

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home, with a celebration of life wake service at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service time at the church.

Ms. Lewis was born on Oct. 22, 1941, in Natchez, the daughter of Eddie Lee Lewis and Martha Johnson Blanton.

She was a nursing assistant and a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church No. 1. Her hobbies included singing and reading the Bible.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Eddie Ray Lewis, Michael Blanton, Adrian Lewis and Mary Ann Phipps.

Survivors include one son, Arthur Ross III and wife, Annie Mae; five daughters,  Vanessa Fairley and husband, Michael, Alfredia Green and husband, Josh, Terri McGruder, Jacqueline Johnson, and Quatina Proby and husband, Woodrow; four brothers, Develle Blanton and wife, Jackie, Terry Lewis and wife, Vanessa, John Lewis and Charles Paige and wife, Mayella; nine sisters, Hollis Davis and husband, LeeAndrew, Yvonne Bell, Arlene Blanton Hall, Dianne Blanton, Dennette Cain, Geraldine Gibson, Augustine Thompson, Linda Lewis, Beverly Sue Harris and husband, Clarence; 14 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
