NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Marie Shaifer McAllister, 98, of Shreveport, La., who died Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at Southern Hills Nursing and Rehab, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Jimmy Neely officiating.    

Burial will follow under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home’s Natchez chapel.

Mrs. McAllister was born Aug. 1, 1919, in Natchez, the daughter of Francis Arthur and Annie Neely.

She was a faithful and devoted member of First Baptist Church of Natchez.

Mrs. McAllister was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Hubert Raymond Shaifer; her second husband, Robert A. McAllister; four sisters; and two brothers.

Survivors include one son, David Wayne Shaifer; one daughter, Kathy Anne Eubanks; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
