VIDALIA — Services for Daniel Rogers Harper Sr., 74, of Vidalia, who died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at St. Dominic Hospital, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Young’s Funeral Home Vidalia Chapel with the Rev. M.L. Miller officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mr. Harper was born June 9, 1943, in Pineville, La., the son of John Fell Harper and Rosalee Harper; one infant daughter; and one brother, Morris Harper.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Jo Ann Harper; two daughters, Pamela Chaisson of Delaware and Jana Geoghegan and husband, Martin, of Vidalia; one son, Daniel Harper Jr. of Delaware; 11 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and one sister, Doris Willis of Alexandria, La.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
