Adams County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Cal Green said Illagan was being employed by Shields Brown at the time of the theft.

Illagan allegedly used Shields Brown’s PayPal — an electronic commerce company that allows for the online purchase and transfer of money — to buy more than $1,000 worth of goods.

Green said Illagan also allegedly stole a laptop, ring and vacuum cleaner.

Green said Shields Brown reported the theft in the sheriff’s office.

Illagan was released Monday after posting a $5,000 bond.
