VIDALIA — Services for Vicki Crooks Byrnes, 61, of Vidalia, who died Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at her residence, will be 12:30 p.m. today at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Ledford officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Byrnes was born July 4, 1956, in Jena, La., the daughter of Louis and Liz Crooks.
She served as city clerk for the City of Vidalia for more than 20 years. She loved being surrounded by her family and friends.
Mrs. Byrnes will always be remembered for her smile.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Bobby Byrnes; her parents; one son, Joshua Byrnes; one daughter, Caitlin Byrnes; and one grandson, Colby Byrnes, all of Vidalia; two sisters, Jan Mann of Bossier City, La., and Lorri Neely and husband, Billy, of Vidalia; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Vic Scott, Keith Andrews, B.J. Neely, Brian Allred, Vernon Smith and Michael Ferguson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Evans, Billy Staggs, Dale Jameson, R.V. Mize, Brian McJimsey, Trey Riddick and Zack Riddick.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Relay for Life.
