SORRENTO, La. — Services for Bennie Lucille “Lucy” Heath, 74, who died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, will be 11 a.m. today at Sorrento Baptist Church, 8275 Main St., in Sorrento, La.    

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service today at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Church Funeral Services in St. Amant, La.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She shared 55 years of marriage with Thomas “Tommy” Heath Sr.

Mrs. Heath was born in Crosby but lived all of her adult life in St. Amant. In recent years, Lucy enjoyed spending time with her cat “Tootie” and visiting the Ascension Council on Aging. She was always seen with a smile on her face that would light up a room. She had a number of skills and talents. During her life, she worked at Roland’s Martin’s Seafood Buffet, Country Kitchen, Walmart, Piccadilly and was active at East Ascension where her sons attended school.

Mrs. Heath was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin “Link” and Sally Bass; her beloved in-laws, William H. “Bill” and Viva Paxton Heath.

Survivors include three sons, Michael D. Heath and wife, Jan Acaldo Heath, Charles J. Heath and wife, Elizabeth Braud Heath, and Thomas “Tom” Heath Jr. and wife, Tracey Livingston Heath; and eight grandchildren, Abby, Ellen, Grace, Ashley, Emma, Jack, Owen and Clara Heath.
