NATCHEZ — The bracket has been set for this year’s MAIS Class AAA South State Tournament at Adams County Christian School.

On the girls side, No. 2 District 5 seed Cathedral School will begin play with a first-round matchup against the No. 3 seed from District 4, Wayne Academy, at 4 p.m. today.

The ACCS Lady Rebels are seeded No. 1 in District 5 and will receive a first-round bye before playing at 6:20 p.m. Thursday. They will matchup with the winner of No. 4 seeds Laurel Christian and Park Place Christian to be played Tuesday.

The No. 2 District 5 seed Cathedral boys will begin play in the first round at 7:45 p.m. today when they face District 4 No. 3 seed, Bowling Green.

The ACCS boys will also receive a first-round bye as the District 4 No. 1 seed and play at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday against the winner of No. 4 seeds Wayne Academy and Central Hinds Academy today.

Both the Trinity Episcopal girls and boys will play first-round games Wednesday in the MAIS Class A South State Tournament at Rebul Academy.

The District 4 No. 2 seed Lady Saints will play District 5 No. 3 seed Tallulah Academy at 6:30 p.m., while the District 4 No. 1 seed boys will play against District 5 No. 4 seed Briarfield Academy at 7:45 p.m.
