STAMPLEY — Services for Carol Marie Sims Chambliss, 58, of Fayette, who died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at Jefferson County Hospital, will be noon Saturday at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Stampley with the Rev. Luther Bonds officiating.

Burial will follow at New Fork Cemetery in Meadville under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Chambliss was born Nov. 17, 1959, in Natchez, the daughter of Virgil Lee Dorsey and Edna Lee Sims.

She was employed by Franklin Memorial Hospital in the dietary department for a number of years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Daniel Lee Sims.

Survivors include her husband, Alfred Earl Chambliss; three sisters, Catherine Sims, Jacquelyn Ford Duckett and husband, Sean, and Cleola Minor: four brothers, Ernest “Sonny” Sims, Carl Edward Sims, Kevin Bernard Ford and wife, Kimberly, and James Earnest Ford and wife, Laseako; nephew she called her “Pie Pooh,” Anthony Terrell Sims; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and co-workers.
