NATCHEZ — Services for Richard Alfonso Washington, 52, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, in Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Cannonsburg with the Rev. Dr. Tracy Cusic officiating.
Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Washington was born May 22, 1965, in Natchez, the son of George Washington Sr. and Willie Mae Fitzgerald.
He attended Jefferson County public schools.
Mr. Washington going to the Magnolia Bluffs Casino, spending time with family and friends and helping anyone who needed him. He was always there when called on and would do whatever needed to be done.
He was preceded in death by his father; two sisters, Lucinda Washington-Perry and Georgia Washington; and great-nephew, Cameron.
Survivors include his mother; eight brothers, George Washington Jr., Herman Washington Sr., Bobby Washington Sr., Timothy Washington Sr., Michael Washington Sr., and Fredrick Washington Sr., all of Natchez, and Kenneth Grayson and Morris Washington of Fayette; three sisters, Betty Kaho and husband, Clifton, Barbara White and husband, Prince Earl, all of Natchez, and Georgia Culbert and husband, Dennis, of Fayette; one brother-in-law, Lucius Perry Sr.; two uncles, Quitman Fitzgerald of Natchez and Julius Fitzgerald of St Louis; two great-aunts, Camille Jackson and Eloise Smith of Natchez; and three generations of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
