FERRIDAY — Funeral services for Marcia Book Butler, 70, who died Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, will be 10 a.m. Monday at The Pentecostals of Miss-Lou in Ferriday, with the Rev. Gary Howington, the Rev. Jeremy Howington and the Rev. Shannon Pennington officiating.

Burial will follow in Palo Alto Cemetery in Mayna, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church.

Marcia was born on Oct. 17, 1947 in Ferriday, the daughter of Warren Davis Weberry and Lorena Elmira “Mickey” Ferrington.

She was a loving, kind lady who loved her family and was very active in her church.  Her purpose in life was caretaking and making life better for everyone.

She was preceded in death by her father, her first husband, Delta Maurice “Dale” Book Sr.; one son, Delta Maurice Book Jr.; two brothers, Alla Wayne Wesberry and John D. Wesberry; and one sister, Dianne Landry.

Survivors include her mother; her husband, John Butler of Vidalia; one son, Anthony Butler and wife, Phyllis, of Baton Rouge; four daughters, Yvette Estelle and husband, Don, and Summer Michot and husband, Joel, all of Monterey, Dina Pennington and husband, Shannon, of Kosciusko; Cynthia Kelly and husband, Donnie, of Walker, La.; one brother, Bill Wesberry and wife, Tamera, of Buna, Texas; one sister, Carolyn Coleman of Lake Charles, La.; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren;  and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Marshall, T-Joe Michot, Gabriel Michot, Brennan Butler, Ben Kelly, Jon Kelly, Aaron Kelly and Aaron Durand.

Honorary pallbearers will be Forrest and Taylor Cripps.
