Master plan for downtown Natchez needs one thing —you

After months of listening, planning and revisions, the massive project to create a new master plan for the City of Natchez is still not complete.
One key, but very important, element is missing — your final input.
When the grassroots nonprofit community improvement organization FOR Natchez first started the idea of planning for the city’s future, the goal was simple — create a development plan with as much input and feedback as possible from residents coming from all walks of life.
By all appearances, the work that has nearly reached a final stage encompasses much of the feedback and creates a roadmap for the city’s development.
Tuesday night the plan will be presented publicly beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Natchez Convention Center to gauge public feedback one last time before the plan heads before the Natchez Board of Aldermen for consideration.
When that happens, we hope aldermen can see the benefits of the plan and work hard to make some of it quickly become a reality.
This plan has the potential to be a game changer for Natchez, if approved and if our leadership has the vision to see it to fruition.
But the next step, the step that you can help accomplish, occurs Tuesday evening. We hope the place is packed.
