FERRIDAY — Funeral services for Nina James, 99, of Ferriday, who died Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at her residence, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. James Baptist Church, 140 Skipper Drive, Ferriday, with the Rev. Eddie Schiele officiating.

Burial will follow at Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home. She will be buried beside her husband, Jack James.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday.

Mrs. James was born Dec. 2, 1918, in Ferriday, the daughter of Jimmy and Rose Hall Williams.  She was a member of St. James Church, where she served as church secretary for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one son who died as a young child.

Survivors include one son, Robert James and wife, Sandra, of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter, Doris Schiele and husband, the Rev. Eddie Schiele, of Ferriday; four grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
