MONTEREY — Services for Bertha Louise Jones, 65, of Monterey, who died Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, at LaSalle General Hospital, will be 10 a.m. Sunday at New Harvest Assembly of God in Monterey with the Rev. David Womack officiating.

Burial will follow at Acme Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the church.

Mrs. Jones was born April 1, 1952, in Brouillette, La., the daughter of Elwood Green and Eura Bordelon Green.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Ray Jones; her parents; and three brothers, Alton Green, Calvin Green and Joe Green.

Survivors include two sons, Kelvin Jones of Alexandria, La., and Jeremy Jones of Monterey; three daughters, Cynthia Jones Jenkins and husband, Kevin, of Natchez, Belinda Conley and husband, David Conley Jr., of Jena, La., and Kerry McCarver and husband, Wesley, of Vidalia; 10 grandchildren, Daniel, Christian and Hannah Jenkins, Gabriel and Madison Conley, Savannah and Katlyn McCarver, Delaney, Seth and Jonah Jones; two brothers, James Green and Johnny Green ; two sisters, Nellie Womack and Pat Thrasher; special friends, Bernice Bryan and Geneva Johnston; her church family at New Harvest Assembly of God; and a number of family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Jenkins, Christian Jenkins, Tucker Lewis, Wesley McCarver, David Conley Jr., Kevin Jenkins and Ryan Rogers.

Honorary pallbearer will be Seth Jones, Gabriel Conley and Jonah Jones.
