Wet, stormy weather likely tonight

NATCHEZ — Weather forecasters are predicting a good chance for stormy weather late tonight and continuing through Sunday evening.
For residents looking to complete outdoor activities, the best chance of dry weather will be today. Although it will be cloudy, National Weather Service forecasters predict only a 25-percent chance for precipitation today. Skies today will be mostly cloudy with high temperatures reaching into the upper 70s.
A cold front will pass through Mississippi bringing ahead of it cloudy, windy weather today, followed by a more than 50 percent chance of rain and storms beginning tonight.
As the squall line passes through, brief periods of severe thunderstorms are possible along with a slight chance a tornado could form.
Temperatures will drop as the front passes through with high temperatures on Sunday expected to only reach 60 degrees.
Winds are expected to be strong today with possible gusts as high as 30 m.p.h., sustained winds are expected to be approximately 15 to 20 m.p.h. today, diminishing in strength as the front passes through.
