NATCHEZ — Services for Catherine McGrew, 55, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, in Natchez, will be noon today at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. George Ajuruchi, S.S.J., officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

There will be no visitation.

Ms. McGrew was born March 9, 1962, in Natchez, the daughter of Herman McGrew and Lillie McGrew.

After graduating University of Southern Mississippi-Natchez with a bachelor’s degree and beginning her career in teaching, she earned her master’s degree from Alcorn State University. She was a mathematics instructor for the Natchez-Adams School District for a number of years.

Catherine enjoyed reading the Bible and other religious books, working puzzles, contributing to a number of charitable causes and was an avid sports fan, including basketball, football, tennis and many more.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marjorie McGrew.

Survivors include two brothers, James McGrew and Herman McGrew; three sisters, Ann Range, Lillian McGrew and Melinda McGrew; 11 nieces and nephews; and a number of other relatives.
