NATCHEZ — A celebration of life for Jimmie Carl Brewer Sr., 81, who died Monday, March 12, 2018, at the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, will be 11 a.m. today at Parkway Baptist Church with the Rev. Jonathan Magee officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Brewer was born July 1, 1936, in McComb, the son of Otis Shelton Brewer and Frances Hill Brewer. Mr. Brewer served his country in the U. S. Army and the Mississippi Army National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jerry Brewer; and a special niece, Deborah Mizell.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Brewer; three sons, Jim Brewer, Johnny Brewer and wife, Kellye, and Jeff Brewer and wife, Dawn; two daughters, Marrianne Baugh and Shannon Johnson and husband, Doug; eight grandchildren, Jeremie Brewer, Carl Brewer, Brittney Nixon, Jordan Baugh, Hailey Lawson, Mary-Carson Johnson, Noah Johnson and Maggie Brewer; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Patsy Brewer Ridge.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Parkway Baptist Church Building Fund.
